| ESPAR Auxiliary Water Heater on 2002 Sprinter
This diesel powered heater will work for up to 2 hrs. without the ignition turned on, and is also a booster for quicker heat with engine running. Mine shuts down after 10 seconds or so. Battery is new and fuel is full - the unit will shut itself off with low battery or fuel as a safety precaution.
The Freightliner dealer wants $900 to replace the unit, but they seemed clueless about it's operation, so what the heck, just put in a new one.
Has anyone had similar problems and found a fix?
