Hi I own a 2001 Mercedes Sprinter 308 cdi. Ive took it into my local diesel specialist for lack of power (no turbo) and they gave me fault codes as follows:
1) 1188 high pressure element shut off.
2)1470 boost pressure converter
3)2006 prefeed pressure sensor.
also while looking at my van ive noticed a carbon build up over the injector area!which i have chisseled off and cleaned off!could this be caused by the injector seals?also how do you get the injector out when they are stuck in?ive checked the turbo and it still spins freely!any help apreciated as i need my van on the road soon!
THE BUILD UP IS BLOW BACK PAST THE INJECTORS, YOU WILL NEED A HYDRAULIC PULLER TO REMOVE THEM, OR ANOTHER HEAD.
IF YOU GET STUCK WE ARE IN BURY ST EDMUNDS AND SPECIALISE IN MB SPRINTERS,MOST PARTS IN STOCK AND CAN RESET AND CLEAR CODES ETC
