I have a code that keeps coming on, I finally was able to test the car after leaving it off for 6 hours to check the temperature of the sensors.

I have one of the sensors that are not showing a value in the desired range...which results in the plausability error that I get...

sensor out of range - B19 (TWC temperature sensor) : 249 f

Can someone tell me which one of the sensors on the exhaust this sensor is?

Thanks

To answer your question, that is the TWC (three-way converter) temperature sensor. I have a 2008 E320 Bluetec. I had a check engine light with OBD-2 diagnostic code showing P2031. The dealer replaced the B19 sensor. The original part number was A005 153 40 28. The part was changed to A007 153 74 28. In the electronic parts catalog (EPC) there is a note: [083] To Chassis: B 408745 To Date: 30/09/2008.

I suspect MB replaced this part due to inherent design defect, with the original sensor not being able to withstand sustained high temperatures in excess of 900 degrees Celcius, but did not perform a recall. So, the cost is on you.

The stealership got me for $380.
