It is the "small" service, 10, 30, 50k etc, if I remember right.

The B service is 20, 40, 60k etc, this all chanegd in 2008 before they had A, B, C, D, E etc

The 'small' service is basically an oil and filter change, top off fluids, set tire pressures, visual inspection, reset service computer. I notice your coupon is from the Sac area dealerships. If you decide you want to find a good MB independant shop, let me know. My shop is in the South Sac area.

This is the correct sequence--original poster can now check maintenance booklet that came with car to learn the full details.

What a coincidence, we got our R500 from MB of Rocklin as well.
Here is my shop info
Star Motors
2680 Florin Rd #103A
Sac, CA 95822
(916)421-4007
I used to be a service advisor at MB of Sac, but opened my own shop 2 years ago. Feel free to call if you have any questions, ask for Alvin.

Regarding the service schedule, the maintenance book makes it look so easy, but in reality, when you get a chance to open that submenu in the cluster, it actually lists a group of service items, some are needed some are not, so this is the reason it is so hard to give an actual quote for the service.

The MBUSA site has this to say: "B-Service — First visit at approximately 20,000 miles or one year after previous service, but determined by Flexible Service System; then every 20,000 miles or 2 years." I believe the FSS is described in detail in your Operator's Manual.

· Check tires for damage and condition
· Measure tread depth, record in mm
· Correct tire inflation pressure

Engine Compartment
