Look for a extended Warranty on 2006 R350

I have tried to contact several companies and it seems none of them come close to the hrly rate of 120.. which is what the dealer in north New Jersey gets for labor. Does anyone know any companies that have a 50 or 100 deductible that covers the hrly rate and Mercedes deals with?

The company below I have tried several times to get in touch with :

Michael Case
Harold Zeigler Automotive Group

Phone: (888) 324-3464
Fax: (630) 566-4197
info@chryslerfactoryplans.com
CHRYSLER SERVICE CONTRACTS: Extended Warranties from Chrysler. SAVE 60%! Quick Quotes. Buy Online.

Needless to say I have yet to get a call back and if this is hard to get in touch with them to get a warranty..what happens when the car is at the dealership and trying to get repaired you wait until ? So anyone have company names and if they had good experiences with them shoot the names to me. I would love to know people from my area ny/nj/ct cause that would be most helpful

Have you actually call Mike? I was taking to Mike about two weeks back and he was very helpful.

Regarding the dealership concern, Mike is just reseller/middleman and the MB dealer actually calls Chrysler directly for any repairs under the warranty.

ummm .. yea I called him three times and yet to get a call back. Here is the thing I spoke to another person at Chrysler and he told me that he does not recommend their warranty. The reason is the hrly rate is much different then Mercedes. Meaning they would not pay the 115 hrly rate that Mercedes gets in my area. He also mentioned that at one time Mercedes and Chrysler were married together but as of 2005 , they are no longer together and infact Mercedes sold their share of the company to fiat.. So he said he would recommend me going to a Mercedes Dealer for a warranty. He said Mercedes does not have to honor Chrysler's warranty at all

Not sure what is going on with Mike then... regarding the Chrysler warranty, I don't believe it is how things work. I would do a search on "Chrysler warranty" here and ask the people who actually took their cars for repairs.

ok, here are the quotes I received from the dealer earlier this year to extend the warranty on my 2006 R500 that is still under the 4yr/48k factory warranty -

1 year 75k $3099.25 or 100k $3984.75 /2011

2years 75k $3542.00 or 100k $4605.75 /2012

3years 75k $4071.00 or 100k $5313.00 /2013

ok, stupid question, does the chrysler warranty always run from the original in service date and total mileage?

for example a 5yr/50k warranty would add 1 year and no add'l miles to the factory 4yr/50k warranty?

so i think i am looking at doing 6 or 7 year and 60-85k miles for quoted price of around $2k +/-...

Add on top of the date and mileage you buy the warranty (not the car).

Example: Buy the extended warranty on 12/19/2009 with 40K miles on the R500.

4 yr/70K = Expired on 12/19/2013 or 110K miles. Btw, the Chysler warranty of 4/70 would cost $3K. It was cheaper last month but the price has increased.

No your wrong

The chrysler warranty starts from 0 miles and from the begining of owning the car.. so if you got 4yr 50k miles and if you buy the 7yr 70k miles you have 20k miles and 3yrs .. It could be different as far as miles it can go up to 100k miles but that has to come in with 7 yrs of the car from brand new.. This I say and know is a fact I have called and spoke to Chrysler myself ... I end up talking to someone Tues who works for them and he told me the whole thing. I then called the Mercedes dealership and they quoted 3,900 for 3 yrs unlimited miles or I can go with easycare warranty which supposely better cause it covers rims and tires... for 2900..Needles to say I am going with the mercedes factory warranty cause there isI have to sign up for the easycare before I hit 25k miles where as for the extended Mercedes warranty can be bought 30 days prior to the factory warranty expiring... Trust me have done my homework on this
