Knocking Noise in Rear

i took the R in for service for a 2nd time for a knocking noise in the rear suspension when going up a driveway and the dealership said it's a normal for R. they said they tested about 3 Rs and all of them have duplicated the knocking noise.
they already changed some rear suspension components under warranty the first time i complained about this, but the knocking is still there. the feeling is like something back there is popping out of place and it only occurs going up a driveway in an angle, not straight up.
does your R make this noise? i don't think it's normal at all.

This is not normal if it is the same thing I had.

The rear left shock likely has a blown resevior and the auto air suspension compressor relay doesn't or can't function, resulting in a dead spot or knocking noise when you hit a bump.

There is a technical service bulletin for it - see the sticky in this forum and look for your car.

Does your car have ADS? We had a similar issue on our 06 R350 with failed ADS struts. How many miles on your R?

If they are a little "thick" you can quote all the TSB numbers and say look, clearly it is a problem but I'm not certain which number applies to my build date.

ok. i'll write to my service advisor about the TSB.

ADS? i'm not sure. we only have the comfort/sport selection. the R has about 39k miles.
