It's a date then. I don't have it yet but you never know. I have about all the tools one would need, along with jacks, the STAR DVD and other such goodies. I don't own a lift but that's ok.
I've done lots of diesel work, repair, mostly in engine work and know how to make them go fast so I can be dangerous for sure.

Simply because you have no problems and there have been no posts on this problem before does not mean the problem does not exist. But I did say it is not something to worry about, simply to be aware of
Yeah, but like old people with medical issues, usually even the most minor matter affecting the smallest number of people gets discussed around here. With something as significant as the air suspension, I would have thought someone would have made as post about it before now. In any event, all my rambling about it should ensure some bad karma and I'll start having suspension issues any minute.....
Eric,
I have an '06 R-500 with 10K on it that has the airmatic system. I also have an '04 E-320 wagon with the same. The wagon had a "problem?" with the pump wire being stretched and losing power to the pump(easy fix in the driver's wheel well). The R has this weird err, err, err noise coming from the driver's rear when ever a door is opened, especially if the vehicle has been sitting idle. Is this the ride control pump that I am hearing? There have been no codes or ride issues unlike the wagon that just snapped a front coil spring at 70K and the sway bar links are junk!

Not sure what it is that you can hear but it is not the airmatic pump. The pump is behind the front fender on the passengers side.

I recently have this issue on my 07 r350. Currently is in the dealer for the 3rd time. Two weeks ago I took it in for my right rear suspension is completely down to the ground and dealer replaced the strut. I came home and the same problem so I took it back in and they replaced the distribution block. Got it back and the same issue. I talk to the dealer's GM and promised me they will not give the car back until the issue is gone.
Let me add to the airmatic pump issue. Mine was replaced this week while under warranty. I have 20K miles on the clock. I have an '07 CPO R350. Other than that issue, the wife and I have been very pleased with the R251. I would recommend it to my friends. Besides, the car has an identity of it's own.
I have an R500 with 30K and it will raise and lower by itself- once when the passenger door was opened, once when at a stop light. Seems the right side sits aboiut 1.5 inches higher than the left, as measured above the real wheels to the edge of the wheel wells.
Trust me, if you did have this problem I would help you to DIY it
Eric,
Well I might just take you up on that. We've been taking some long trips in the new car lately and yesterday my wife was driving home with the guests in the car I sat in the back left seat (not 3rd row) and the car made some aweful noises running over a few bumps on the road. In fact some hit really hard - too hard for something that i supposed to run as smooth as it has up till now.
This may be a problem.
It needs its first service here soon so I may take it in under warranty but that may prove a lengthy process.

Anyway, any input would be appreciated.
Warranty is the way to go just now, and let us know how you get on thanks
