Window "vent" feature with key fob... - Benzworld.org

My 07 R350 has the ability to open the windows and vent the S. Fla heat with the remote/key...but it only works if I am @ 3" away from the driver's door handle. Is there any way to extend this range or have this function work in another manner??? I've had Honda's and VW's that I've been able to drop the windows from 100feet away...it is surprising that the Benz system is so limited.

Any suggestions?

It is infrared based and needs to be aimed at the drivers door, vs radio based like your Honda or VW....hence it is line of sight...
