I'd be getting 10mpg too with that SRT toy. And it would have depreciated to next to nothing over the last year with the high gas prices.

I agree.

Before we got our R, my wife had a Durango w/ the 5.7 Hemi. For sure the R does not have Hemi power, but I think it's no slouch either. I have more than enough power from the V-6, and like it's been said this thing is a 6,000 lb beast!

If you want performance the R63 is what you're looking for. However you'll get 10/13 according to my boss, who's complaining every single week about gas prices. Even when they come down.

I get 0-60 in the high 7's, but not bad. From 75, passing is no problem at all.

It's faster than almost all mini-vans on the market, and looks much better.

The modern 3.5L DOHC V6 has a nice blend of smooth power and decent gas mileage. I wanted only this motor when shopping for my ML. No interest in the other motors in lineup.

Get the Sprint Booster- gets rid of the lag between hitting the accelerator and the engine kicking in. I bought one and almost rear ended a couple of cars!!! It's instant power. It made the car a little too jumpy for me so I ended up taking it out. It does unleash the power in the v6 engine though. Doesn't do anything to increase the hp overall, just lets you have access to what it does have a lot quicker. Sold it on ebay for $250, should be able to find one and it won't hurt your warranty at all.

I would really trust a product that's a blanket item for all auto 2000-2007 MB's no difference between 6 and 8 cyl. Sounds perfect I'll just strap a signal booster to a 40-50k MB and see what systems it can burn up

Yeah I really want a product that gives me overly sensitive throttle response and no horsepower increase. It's bad enough that my ML has an overly sensitive brake pedal with excessive travel and overly soft feel.

The Sprint Booster is PERFECT for the R-class.

I have used one for over 2 years and I have not had one electrical problem.

It adds just enough punch to the acceleration making response less truck-like.

If fact, I took it from my 06 and added it into my new 08. Works perfectly!

It didn't do anything to my car, i just didn't feel i needed that much throttle response. The fly by wire throttle system mercedes uses is designed to soften the car. the car has plenty of power, you just can't access it all at once.
