For those of you who have the panorama roof option, do you guys hear a lot of noises from the roof. I hear all types of squeals and creaks coming from the roof. It does it on bumpy roads and also when the body of the car flexes. I just wanted to know if this was normal, I would expect a mercedes to be rattle free or close to it.

My R320 has the panorama roof. Quiet, no noticeable noise. In fact, I can't really tell any noise effects that the panorama roof makes. Certainly, no squeals/creaks. I often sit in the 2nd row and few times in 3rd row and no clear/detectable/distinctable noise from the roof . . . other than the normal noise from either windows, door seals, roof, etc. In other words, the car is very quiet from road/wind noise even at highway speeds.
I would bring your car to the dealer. Be prepared to be insistive as well as willing to try multiple dealers (as necessary) to get this fixed.
yes, we have an '06 R500. the pano creaks quite a bit when the body twists over bumps, etc. makes noises when closed and open. it goes in for B service in a week - hope to have the dealer address the creaks along with A/C that always seems too cold. otherwise no issues.....unless you count abysmal gas mileage.....
06' 350 R with no sound whatsoever, unless you count the door handles that I assume the dealer that put in the chrome door handle protectors might have rushed the job and not tighten the handles enough. Oh well, I also have a driver side power mirror that is not working. However, I did peek in space between the mirror and the wiring and it looks loke the female plug has come off the male attachment therefore not powering the mirror...
Take in your vehicle and demand that they fix the pano roof, hopefully it is an easy fix, maybe you need some rubber damping insulator thingies to absorb the
energy that is transfer to the pano when the vehicle is flexing and stretching the parts holding the pano.....
Good luck, and by the way be prepared to leave your vehicle in the shop for atleast 1 week.
Yes my R 500 panorama makes noise. I can put my hand around the plastic insert between the headliner and glass and it seems to stop. Wonder if I put some felt behind it if it would stop. Did the same with the felt on my G-wagen back door and it fixed it.
