My bad. It should be "TSB =Technical Service Bulletin).

I have read at some forums @ online that the dealer replaced/adjusted the hatch and it solved the problem.

Thanks,

But the dealer has already replaced all parts in use for the rear hatch, they have also tried to adjust with out any luck.

Here is a small description of how it works right now.

2 of 10, it will close very gentle and pull in the rear hatch the last 15mm
7 of 10, it will slam the hatch, so that the close assistance is not used, like if you slam a door.
1 of 10, it will slam the hatch and then reopen.

Yesterday after noon it failed 4 times in a row and on the fith time it worked.

During the last visit at the dealer (stealer ship), they could net replicate the issue, I guess they very busy drinking coffee or similar, as we just had to have the car back for 3 days and it happened again, and now it is doing it very often.

Any how IŽll keep the forum posted of the outcome...

FYI, I had a VW passat wagon before with the auto rear hatch for almost 2 years, and not a single time did it fail and VW it not rally known for quality

2008R320,

I can not believe the technicians @ MB dealer could not fix a simple problem like that. It got to be a latch or liftgate misalignment that prevent it from closing properly.

I never have problem on mine. At one time, the liftgate did not close on mine because I left the luggage ( my fault) sticking out too far from the trunk.

AsianBlackR350,

Yep could not agree more, as an Engineer, I'm surprised that the tech level is that low, but on the other hand I'm in South Florida.

I can be fixed, but I have the feeling that they have given up

08 R350 4MATIC 800 miles
We took delivery of our car at the end of May this year. We love the smooth ride of this car! Recently I've noticed the car squeaks when I make a turn, especially make a turn at a STOP or Red light (when the car moves slowly). I am not sure if this is normal. Any input or advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like a dry ball joint if it's coming from the suspensions area. Go to your dealer and have some one ride with you to show them the noise. Otherwise they'll claim they can't reproduce it.

I have 2006 CPO R350, which I purchased a few weeks ago with 26500 miles on it. After driving about 200 miles, I have the following problems:
(1) A/C temp control dial (for the front seats) is not not functioning - it only lowers temp. So when I dial clock-wise, it wouldn't increase temp.
(2) Some rattle noise from the 2nd row door.
(3) Passenger airbag deactivation light is ON. I guess it should be OFF unless there is a carseat.
I am taking it to a dealer next week.
Otherwise, the ride is smooth.

Sounds about the same as my CPO 06 ML350 purchased with 32K miles. Mostly minor problems (covered by warranty), with otherwise good performance.
