1. noise from front when starting car like electric robot moving "wheeeennn" kind for 5sec. Is this normal or not, but only 5sec and then gone, so it's ok so far.
other than that so far so good.
One things bothing me is my black interior reflect sun to the front glass and it's hard to see when I'm driving. It's depends on the weather and which way I'm driving point from the sun! When I drove toward east and sun about my 3'oclock is bad timing. Is anyone felt same? I purchase black mesh window protector formally use for side window but using to the front when I need it
Probably an emission controls device -- many cars have air pumps that come on during startup to reduce emissions when the engine is cold. Some are noisier than others

That's the compressor for the leveling system. It does occasionally kick on while driving too. When it went out (we were on vacation...a dealer stripped one off a new car on the lot to get us back on the road), the new one didn't make that noise.
1. Small headlight burned out.
2. 3rd row vent wasn't working. No air was coming out of the vent.
Brought the car to the dealer and they fixed them all. Everything
is working great for now.
Blower motor got blown out and replaced as a fix for the 3rd row vent.
more updates:
Front passenger big headlights burned out.
Got it fixed and now is working fine so far.
I wonder what causes such a short life on these bulbs...
my 12 year old toyota that has over 200K on it never needed
new front headlights but then again it doesn't evoke feelings of passion
when I look at it or drive it like the merc . There is always a compromise
I guess.

I'd like to find out from the users here if anyone has had any issues that were non-warranty issues? A lot of these issues that are being mentioned can be found on many new cars.
We have a BMW and just traded in an Infiniti and they all had little issues when brand new.
Yep, good luck with that one, I can't even find people with the more common ML's with high mileage. None of these ML's, R's, GL's are especially reliable. Fortunately other attributes make them desirable vehicles.
Maybe I have been just lucky but listed below are the vehicles I have, mileage and problems I have had.
2006 MB350R 24,000 miles Perfect. Nothing needed fixing
1997 Pontiac GTP 225,000 miles Alternator and window motor fixed under warranty
2002 Pontiac GTP 128,000 miles Perfect. Nothing needed fixing
1995 Dodge 250 190,000 miles Alternator
2004 Ford 350 Lariat 31,000 miles Diesel turbo. Fixed under warranty
All cars were bought new. I do take care of them, but the Ford and MB are really the only ones I go by the book on. I change oil every 5000 miles except MB which is 10,000.
Just appears to me cars are pretty reliable. Hope my luck holds!!
