Shandy - Congratulations, it will be exciting. Look forward to see pictures. What kind of discount did you get, please post for benefits of others who are shopping for end year models '07. Did you purchase extended warranty or wait and see like I am doing. Why you're driving a loaner?
the car was shipped in from NC. we wanted a white one....msrp was 52,050
paid 48,050 and they gave me $21,000 for my paid off 2006 47,000 mile TDI
Jetta so i may have paid a little more for the car but more than made up the difference in the trade in. financed 28,000 made them throw in the front rear and cargo weather mats, tint the front window and agree to put nave in for 1700.00 in the future. I am waiting on the warranty til 12 months I will purchase it if she likes the car after 1st year. we drive lots so this car will have 50k miles in about a year and half.
man, oh man am I jealous! I wanted that in white too! We just started looking for a car yesterday--thought we wanted a used E350 wagon. I had no idea the R class existed! We drove it, loved it, then inquired about a diesel, which the sales rep completely dissed. The next morning, I called a neighboring dealership--they were getting a 320 CDI demo (silver) this afternoon and we bought it over the phone. I am kind of freaking out because we haven't seen it, but we stopped at the one dealership here who had a CDI in stock, did a test drive and fell in LURVE! We pick it up next Tuesday!!
We almost ordered an 08 in white, but I couldn't argue with $10K off new price, so I am sure we will grow to love silver now!
