Sirius Special Lifetime Promotion Ends July 31st

Sirius is currently offering a special promotion on their lifetime subscription
plan. They have discounted the price $100.00 to $399.99 and their offer is
valid until July 31st.

The lifetime plan is for the lifetime of the receiver, not the
subscriber. If your equipment should malfunction you can transfer the
lifetime plan up to three times to a new receiver. There is a transfer
fee of $75.00 per transfer. If the unit is still under the
manufacturer's warranty there will be no transfer fee and it will not
count as one of the three.

Since my initial free trial period on my R Class was ending, I took advantage of this offer. I admit it is not for everyone but I took the plunge figuring that the payback period is relatively short.

I have to agree. I purchased a lifetime subscription in late 2003 when I installed an aftermarket radio in my 400SE. When I got rid of it to purchase my R500, I simply moved the subscription to a small portable radio that I can use anywhere that I want to. (paid $75 to do that). I am very happy with the service. Lifetime subscription is the way to go as you will save a lot of $$ over the course of time.

Thanks! Big Sirius fan here and strangely enough they don't seem to advertise this special on the Sirius website. I just got off the phone with customer service and got the lifetime deal for $399, which you can make in 4 equal monthly installments (no service charge for that). Yes, you can transfer up to 3 times for $75 a pop...pretty good deal if you really like your satellite radio...
