FSS Reset on 06 R350

Anyone know the exact sequence for resetting the maitenance for a 2006 R350. Dealership wants $480 to change the oil, filter and wiper blades. (Oh ya, they do a visual inspection and wash it for me). All can understand the rip that is. If someone does know thanswer, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, snvr350, welcome to the forum.

C'mon, they'll check a few other things, too.

Historically MBZ puts the sequence you're looking for in the manual; I haven't looked at an R manual but I'd be surprised if they changed course at this point.

When you get a minute fill out your profile information (car and general location). And cruise through your car's native forum, where lots more specific information can be found (perhaps even the sequence you posted here). Your car's forum is the W251 and it can be found by scrolling down the main screen or by clicking here: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w251-r-class/.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Yeah, buy a BMW. BMW even covers the brakes. Local Mercedes dealers are glad that Mercedes doesn't pay for scheduled maintenance because they could make more money directly from the consumers. Its the same as doctors collecting money direct from the patients as compared to being paid by the insurance companies. Mercedes puts limits on how much they will pay dealers for service. $480 is extremely high. My local Mercedes dealer is in the $120 range.
