Got a ticket for not having the license plate in the front! - Benzworld.org

On top of my moms car being hit two weeks ago she gets pulled over by the police for not having a license plate in the front, only the back. The only problem we have the AMG bumper and there is no place to put it in the front. Is there a way to put a license plate in the front of an R class AMG bumper? I thought you only needed one license plate in NJ? Thanks

yep, it sucks, espcially when you have a car that looks really nice without the front plate...

anyway i believe that there is an amg plate mount available though you will have to decide for yourself whether you find it aesthetically pleasing. some people simply choose to drive without a plate and pay the tickets. on the other hand i had a client that finally gave in and put the plate on after getting 6 plate tickets in ten days.

Yeah, I`m from NJ too and I dont have the front plate either. So far, for the last year and 4 months have not been cited for a ticket yet. cross my finger for that. IMHO, it looks ugly to put the front plate cuz it distracts the overall picture of the whole front thing.

I got popped a month ago for no front tag... usually the cops do that when they have nothing better to do.... He said:

" reason i stopped you is no front tag"....

I said ok

"in va you have to have a front tag, when did you get this?

Nov 2002...

"then im sure you have had plenty of tickets then... here is you another one"

I was like well no, 76K miles and 4 years and 7 months before you all noticed... my vette doesent have one either... have a nice day.
