I have just bought an R500 06 demonstrator in the UK and wanter to ask a couple of questions and also share my experience of the new Bluetooth HFP cradle for Blackberry's.
i) The car has the rear headrest video systems, so for the UK comand aps, is it possible to get the dvd video in the front screen?
ii) I have read lots of posts about an engineering screen, but can't work out if this applies to the r class comand unit - can anyone help me?
The bluetooth HFP kit fits into the wiring harness in the glove box. I connect to a Blackberry 8700 and have also tried it succesfully with the new 8800. The system pairs to the Blackberry once and then works with the car seamlessly whenever you get in.
It seems to work with both sim and phone memory contacts (although mb say only sim!) - and is easily controllable from the steering column.
All-in-all very impressed with both the car and engine and indeed the hfp unit!
