Safety of R class

I can't find much info on the safety ratings of the R class. How do they perform in crash tests?
Is there much difference in the safety ratings of Audis, Mercedes, and BMW?

It has not been tested, yet by the agencies that perform the tests.

Depends on which models you are comparing. Not every Merc has a 5 star rating -some models have worse ratings than Camrys and Accords (Mercedes C-class 1997 is rated 2 stars by EURO NCAP). Ditto for Audi and BMW. NHSTA ratings have probably become dated - even cars like Kia have 5 star ratings for some of their models.

can be quite instructive, especially when you discover that a lot of expensive cars have actually worse ratings than the mainstream cars.
