Does anybody know of a MB Dealer Contact that is willing to deal on MB Extended Warranties?
Went to my local dealer and was provided the following pricing:
R Class - 12 mos-- 24 mos-- 36 mos
---------- $2,500-- $3,200-- $4,120
R63------ $3,000-- $3,575-- $4,880
I paid just over $3K for the additional 3 years when I bought the R500 (Fletcher Jones in N. Cal).

I just paid right at $3500 for my 3 extra years-my dealer gave me a "discount", whatever that means (they still make a mint on these things). go to Mercedes-Benz, Home of Mercedes-Benz Luxury Automobiles
as the prices quoted there are exactly what you've been given. Don't know why any dealer would deal with you on the warranty when you aren't buying the car there-especially if it's clear you're not going to be using their service department.
I'll tell you why someone would deal on a warranty for a car that the dealer isn't selling. How much "work" paper or otherwise do you think is required by the dealer when they sell an extended warranty to a customer that comes in asking for one? 15 minutes, maybe? To make $100? That's a pretty good hourly rate for most and a lot more than that dealer is going to make if you don't buy it there.
One 2 minute phone call = $600 discount from list on MB Extended warranty. PLUS I found out about an intriguing alternative warranty, a Daimler Chrysler Extended Warranty. The DC Warranty is an ADDITIONAL $1300 LESS than the MB. Both are Factory warranties, both are good at any USA MB Dealer plus the Daimler Chrysler Warranty lists only those items that are exlcuded while the MB factory warranty lists only and specifically those items that are inlcuded - which is a major advantage for the DC Warranty.
Does anyone else have experience or info on the DC Warranty?
I paid $1500 for the extra 4 years on my 300C SRT8. It basically covers the same thing as my R500 but at half the pieces. I know the price of the car is about $20K different but I bet if I bought a C Class I would have to pay the same $3K for the warranty.

Manwagen:
I am curious, where did you get that information on the DaimlerChrysler Extended Warranty? I know that is what they refer to as the extended warranty division that used to be called Chrysler Extended Warranty contracts. I believe that authorized Mercedes dealers in the U.S. only have access to Mercedes-Benz Extended Warranties. DaimlerChrylser has kept a wall between the "Chrysler" side of the business and the Mercedes-Benz side of operations in the U.S. If you have some specifics, I would love to know it because I have access to "cost plus" pricing on the DaimlerChrysler contracts.
I got the info from a multi-line dealer that has MB and Chrysler Franchises so they have access to and sell both. If you have a line on a Dealer willing to deal on a DC Warranty, please pass it along - Thanks!
