Mercedes announced at the NADA show in Las Vegas that changes are coming to the GL and the R-class. Mercedes said it will add a larger V-8 engine to its GL line late this year. The GL will be offered in a GL550 configuration later this year with the 5.5-liter V-8 now used in the S550 sedan. Mercedes also announced at the same time that they will make "unspecified" changes to the just relaunched R-class crossover.
The question is, what are the "unspecified" changes that Mercedes is going to be making to the R-Class? My guess is that one of the changes is going to be the availability of an R550 with the 5.5-liter V-8.
Does anybody have any thoughts or speculation on other changes?
