R350 Pricing

I brought a few cars from Carsdirect.com in the past, including my 2002 S430, with excellent pricing and satisfaction. Happen to look at the R350 yesterday and was shocked by the steep discount currently given to this brand new car/van.

The base price is discounted from $48,775 to $39,615! That is $9,000 off. One would assume the car is not selling or having repair issues (which would not surprise me).

Just want to know from the current R350 owners, how are your cars holding up?

What are the lease rates and residuals for 27 and 39 months, with 10,000 miles/year.

I have gotten mine at the end of february for about $ 8000 off the sticker, totalling still a good almost $60,000. I had a lot of options on it. I love the car so far. No major issues, is a dream to drive, good to look at. I would recommend it.
I think most people are not aware such a car exits, so MB is giving the incentives to get some on the road to be seen. I have not heard of a disaster of issues reagrding the car, either. The 7 speed transmission is so smooth, you can't feel the gears shift. The big sunroof and the dual DVD entertainment is a must.
