we have an 02 ML320. It has been a great truck but we are considering a R-class. My 02 ML320 is rated at 15mpg city and 17 mpg highway. We get about 17mpg on mixed driving and almost 19mpg on a highway trip. i believe I have seen that the r350 is rated at 16/21mpg. Are you getting that? Would you purchase a new R-class for better mileage or just stick with the ML as it will get the same? Our ML has been great, no problems. Thanks

Combined at 19.2 with relatively little highway mileage.

Over the last 3000 miles, I have averaged 21.5 mpg in my R350. I regularly get 23-24 mpg on the highway. Not too shabby for such a large vehicle.

7K miles. Maybe 16 combined. Maybe 18 on the hwy. Not seeing anything near 21 and we do a lot of long distance expressway driving.

17.4 with 80/20 combo of local/highway driving....car has 1300 miles on it....going on a long trip soon, so we shall see how she does on the open road for a couple thousand miles....
