Is the R-series "Diesel" coming to the U.S.A ? HELP..!!
I am about to purchase an R350 gasoline but can wait a couple of months if the diesel model is coming to the USA.
The local dealer wants me to buy the car they have ofcourse and has not been able to confirm whether or not the R diesel is going to come to the usa.
Does anybody have some reliable info on this?
thanks for your help.

I don't understand it.
Here in Europe, the 90 % R-Class sales are R-320 (Diesel). If that car are MB Tuscalosa factory made. Why USA buyers must wait for the fourth quarter 2006 ?

Another option for folks in California who dont want to wait is the Mercedes Sprinter.

I will buy the first available here in Central Pennsylvania..., Should I be concerned that the motor is the same as the E class CDI? Much bigger car, same engine = Much slower (even for a diesel)? Will there be a 420?
