well after shopping around...we got a greatt deal on the new 2006 R350 yesterday, and we couldnt pass on the offer we recieved.
well...one MAJOR problem, the ride has no comfort at all...sitting in the back seat is a veryyyyyy bumby ride. it tells me that the car is too low and to wait briefly before driving. still nothing changes...it seems to me that the problem is that the airmatic button is not there.
anyone else ever run into a situation like this with the r350?

Did you not shop around and test drive the car prior? As far as the air issue, I am one to never buy airmatic. I did it once and would never do it again.
If you want or if you can, take it back. In some states you have approx 1 week to return.
BTW, what dealer is open on a Sunday...?

Hold on. Does your car have Airmatic or not? The Airmatic mode and level switches are "not there?" You're saying there is an information message "Stop, Vehicle too low" followed by "wait briefly"? and the ride is bad? IF any/all of these are true, I'd be back up to the dealer immediately, and if it's anything a simple system reset doesn't instantly fix, I'd demand a replacement vehicle.
Our 2006 R350 has Airmatic and the system has worked flawlessly since we got the vehicle. Ride is excellent. So whatever you're observing is not normal.
well I took the car in today to a different dealer, they told me it would get fixed. the benz dealer i got the car from, told me they cant do anything about it. so hopefully it gets fixed, soon. and when i find out what the real problem was i will be sure to tell you guys.
and to answer your questions..no the car doesnt have airmatic, and the switch is not there..but it does say the car is too low, and looks very low in the rear.

its already been at the dealer longer then it has been with me..lol its alright though as long as it gets fixed.
well the deal was $350 a month 39mts 12k miles 3,500 down. the special is until the 28th at south bay mercedes, in CA La County. 299 special
Thanks for the prompt reply. Does the 350/mo number include tax? Also, is this a deal for Mercedes/Chrysler employees only or is it available to the general public. What options do you have (or if you remember the MSRP of the vehicle, please post it). Sorry to hear about your troubles with the car. Thanks again for all your help.

Sorry to bother you again, but could you please also post the Money Factor (the interest rate) that they used to compute your lease payment. It should be on your lease contract and the number should start with 0.00. Thanks!
