thinking of getting either R-class or Infiniti QX56 within 2 months from now. With these options- Rear Seat Entertainment Pkg, AirMatic Air Suspension, Comfort and Lighting Pkg. Do you think I get these R between $54k-$56k. For those who have R-class, how much did you pay for? Thanks for your input.

I have a R 350 and think you are really low (sticker price)on your $$ estimate. I was thinking about the QX too, but it is a BIG truck with not more space than the R. Big difference in overall vehicle, gas milage etc. You are comparing a truck to a car. I went for a car. I got the R, extrememly well loaded, for less than the QX.

MSRP for an R350 with metallic paint, RSE, Airmatic, Comfort and Lighting packages is $56,105 so I don't think you'd have a problem getting it in that price range IF you could find a vehicle so equipped. Based on all the inventory vehicles I've seen and researched, however, you probably would have to order it.
Being in a northern state I would think you'd also want the heated seats at a minimum.
I decided against heated seats, because I rarely used it in the past.... but, after a few 9 degree days, I wish I had gotten it... not that much more money... and the car is huge inside, so when it is really cold out, it takes and while to get the cabin warmed.
Very nice vehicle indeed. I went to go sit in one today at the local M-B dealership today and I have to say it is very roomy. Looks real nice too. The third row seats are roomy enough also.
Both are very nice cars. I dont think you can wrong with either one. However from driving the QX and setting in the R i think the QX is a lit bigger.
Also if you dont have to buy new you can save close to $20K on qx if you buy a year old one ;) I think i might go that rought, buy a used QX56 ride it a year or so to let mb make sure they have all the problems out of the R.

To this date, I have 2278 miles with n problem and still very happy with the R.
I got mine 2 months ago, bunch of options, would recommend;
the lighting package that comes w/ turning xenon lights and cornering fog lamps-it is great.
would get the heated seats, the sunroof, the parctronic, the ambiance package for the inside, my kids love the dual entertainment system.
Like the multicontour seats, they are the best seats ever.
automatic tailgate lift is a must, love the premium music system, it is the best I heard.
