I don't think any dealership can say they have sold MANY R's....
But I can say, aside from this software update, there isn't a day that goes by where I am not happy that I chose this car...
I took a friend on a long trip.... asked him if he thought the R was smoother than his truck..... he laughed and said it was smoother than his Jaguar.
I understand the R is an easy car to want to bash.... even I bash it for certain things..... but it still gets an 'A', in every area except price.
Im starting to see more around, have seen a couple in staten island, and few down in princeton where i work. it definately looks like a function and attractive vehicle. i didnt expect to see a ton out there when introduced, just b/c of the price point. not easy to plunk down 60K for a vehicle, but i think will catch on soon
I am finally starting to see more, as well. I can say after 3 weeks of ownership and about 1500 miles that the R exceeds my expectation. I was concerned that I wouldnt like driving it as much as my E wagon, but I actually find it more enjoyable. A different ride from the E to be sure, but unlike any high seating postion vehicle I have ever driven. It is supremely comfortable, and the space and versatility is a huge plus. If the reliability is there, then this will prove to be a hit, I believe.
