You won't believe this!!!!

Today I went to a strip mall and hung out with friends in a lounge...

When I got out my 1 month old E350 was submerged in a flood.

It would not start.... it has been towed.... after a long battle with tow trucks....

It is 3AM... I just got home.

It is a lease.... and I am afraid it could be totalled... or the engine could be totalled...

I was supposed to pick up my new R on Monday.....

Any thoughts?

repeated on the E Class board as well.

RE: You won't believe this!!!!

You're paying your way out of a lease after one month to change (I dare not suggest upgrade) from an E to an R? Interesting...

Sorry to hear about the water damage though.

RE: You won't believe this!!!!

Huh?

Who said anything about paying my way out of a lease?

Two seperate transactions.....

I leased one... And am about to BUY an R next week.... that is unless the E is damaged to the point where I have to rethink.

R-Class Curse .. !!

Whats up with the sudden problems being faced by prespective R-Class owners, first it was NevadaJack with medical condition and now Innhitman with the E-Class flooding... Is it some kind of R-Class curse or what... j/k

sorry to hear about your E-Class, hope everything works out for you.

It's obvious that certain people on this and the W164 forum have R-Class envy. [:D]

LOL... I have to laugh.....

But what you don't understand is its been 4 days and I have not told my wife yet what really happened... and how much damage there might be... it is definate now that the engine is toast... they are trying to see how much more the car needs by way of repair....

I need a really good lie to tell her... to keep her from not wondering where her car is ( it might take a few weeks, between insurance... and engine replacement). Help!!!

You could always go with "alien vehicle abduction". If you look very shaky when you tell the story and scream out 80's hair band names between sentences, people tend to leave you alone quickly. I told my wife the reason I "needed" to purchase my Carlsson RS body kit was that the "CLK's body design is so aeronautically flawed that it must be altered and in fact, the savings on gas will pay for it in a couple of weeks". Use your imagination and a bottle of Rumpleminz.

RE: You won't believe this!!!!

Total over $27K in damage.... needs a new engine and something else expensive.... I can't even listen anymore.... remember when a new engine cost $500.... I know.. it was a while ago.....

so the new car will take 2-3 weeks to repair (it's been out of service for a week already)... engine is in Germany....

Life just got real complicated..... this is most insignificant of the many curve balls thrown my way this week. I'll try to grin!
