Finally found a dealer that has an R500 to demo. The ride was just like that of an R350... all had airmatic... however the acceleration was obviously much better...
If I tried to get an r500 it would add 5000.00 to my initial cost and 1000 each year in gas... I drive a lot....
for this added cost, I would get better initial thrust when I needed it... and slightly larger brakes (because of the slightly higher weight)
Now this is not absolutely needed... but it sure would make the drive a lot less stressful.
Over 5 years I save 10K by going with an R350.... I probably could do a lot with that savings....
I have called it ugly myself... so I will not argue with you.... but if you own one, you don't have to look at it from the outside...
On the inside ( for what it is - which is a roomy luxo cross over) this car is awesome.
If you need the space (and those that call the interior of a wagon "spacious" must be tiny people), then there is no better hauler on the road right now....
Normal sized people do not have my concern..... I am 6'5"... so the seats need to go all the way back.... and I want my passengers to have all the room they can get....
So, since I have been asking for a car like this.... I have to support it with my dollars.... and get this... even with this vehicle, my complaint is they should allow the front seats to have the option to slide back another inch or two.... I guess they want to keep their specs for the second row passengers at an impressive number... so they limit rearward travel of the front seat.
