Thanks. I keep a digital camera in my ML for just such an occasion. I was snapping away rapidly at about 85mph. I ended up with about twenty photos; these were the only ones worthwhile. I wish I had though to roll down the window! This is the first "unmasked" one I've seen. I guess since it has been officially unveiled, they don’t have to disguise them. It’s odd, though, because they kept the star covered on the W164’s up until the week before its delivery to dealers.

I have an R350 on order for September delivery (I hope.) Some good shots for doing 85mph...it looks like the black R350 they had at the NY show.

I have some R Class photos on my web sites but they are not live and up close and personal like yours.

Awesome "spy pics". I'm from Bham as well. Left for the Air Force years ago though and never returned. The grill looks hot, along wiith the rear. I'll have to drive around the plant next time I go home.

rudeney I saw one similar, if not the one, as yours near Six Flags Atlanta on Sun 5/22. However, talked to the driver of this one later that day in Birmingham.

I have a R350 on order. I plan to really add the options but I am awaiting pricing and option list to finalize the order. Allocated in first decade of September. What option are on the one you are driving? Any suggestions to what definitely to get? Does it have AirMatic option?

I note there does not appear to be the interior or exterior chrome package, is that correct? Also are they the 17" wheels? I plan on getting the 18".

I don't want the V8 so the 350 will meet my needs fine.

When you say "road noise" are you talking about tire noise?

Sorry for the questions but you are the first one I have spoken to who has driven the car.
