Galveston is seems like its always ready for gentrification. Problem is no one can do it with a single vision. To many people/interest to make a cohesive Galveston. But to see what may happen go to Kemah Texas, near Clear Lake/NASA. That place is what all of Galveston should be like. Intersting that Galveston is becoming a major port for Cruise ships because of its proximity to the 4th largest city in the US, Houston, as well as all the surrounding area. Which is pretty well to do because of oil money.
