Location of Cabin Filter on B200 2007 - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

I have changed my brakes, oil, engine air filter, reset the service computer, but the cabin filter has eluded me.

If you know the location and process to access the cabin air filter, I would much appreciate you providing specific details or pictures.

Open the hood.
Look at the top center, near the windshield.
There is a cover with tabs on the side.
Push the tabs carefully and open the lid.
Pull the filter out.
Insert the new filter, respecting the air flow indication.
close the lid and secure the tabs.
Close the hood.

Okie Dokie... that means I replaced the cabin filter but I don't know where the engine filter is... assuming you are speaking of the filter to the right of the engine under the black plastic cover.

Soooo... can you explain how to access the engine air filter.

Looking at the engine you should see an aluminum cover (~5"x6") at the top right side of the engine. This is for the B200 and hopefully the Turbo is the same.

Around that cover is a black plastic frame(maybe 2" wider than the above aluminum cover) which pivots at the back near the firewall.

Do not remove the aluminum cover!! Just below the aluminum cover are 2 "Torx 20" screws in the black plastic. Remove those 2 screws and pivot the black plastic back and the filter is exposed. Lift the tab at the top of the filter and change it out with same. Clean and vacuum all dirt and dust out and make sure that the fine black rubber seal is in place before closing the cover.

Note and mark which way it goes back and make sure that the bottom is well located and the top tab is also properly located.

ok... so below is the keywords that all instructions seem to be missing from the cabin filter... ready... NOT in the engine compartment.

The cabin filter on a Mercedes B200 is located in windsheild wiper well. Yes, you have to lift to hood to see it but the filter cover is on the far side of the firewall.

That's because the cabin filter is located next to the cabin and.......

....the engine filter is located next to the engine.....

.....

They don't want to make it too easy now do they......
