Insurance Rates

How much are members paying on insurance on their Bs ?

I was just quoted just under £ 300 ($540 cdn) but was able to haggle a 10% discount making it £269 ($480cdn) . This is for fully comprehensive & 1 other named driver (my 30 year old son) ungaraged & with full (75%) no claims discount ther is an excess on the policy of the first £250 ($450cdn).

This is about 1.5% (£20 or $38cdn) up on last year

currency Conversions are approximate.

I pay about $1000 CAD for me and my wife, Comprehesive & collision, third party liability incl. I also have " one accident forgiveness" for this year plus deductible is going down every year to become "zero deductible" by next year or so. Sounds like insurance in your county is quite cheap ( alteast it sounds like its cheap)

I pay about $ 1,250 CDN for full coverage in downtown Toronto for my wife and I for a non-turbo version. We have accident foregiveness, 5 year limited waiver of depreciation, and full collision and comprehensive coverage.

Downtown Toronto rates are higher then suburban rates, so it would be interesting to see what those in the 905 GTA region are paying.

it does appear that Uk insurance rates are very reasonable

We pay £75 ($140cdn) towards replacement glass windscreens (F & R)or side windows

Repairs to them are free (injection moulding) but this can cause them to crack, as my son found out, but nothing ventured nothing gained

$1558 total for full coverage, collision (300), liability , windshield (200), under insured motorist coverage as well, and driving to work ( wife ). This includes plates and taxes as well as receiving the maximum discount allowed of 43% from provincial insurance. Heavy urban area. I have accident forgiveness, but will they really forgive
Turbo model but does not seem to make a difference in cost.

Keith
Companies locally who do injection repairs guarantee them and if the window beaks money is used toward insurance claim. I've had the service on other cars and have been very happy, better than someone kicking out your old windshield.

I pay about what Bill pays (max discount and all) so if you guys east of BC want to complain, don't even think about it.
