Update on release of 2009 models (Canada)

Heard from dealer today that "2009 B Classes are scheduled for release Friday July 25th [from Halifax depot] and shipping will commence next week. Pricing programs will be released tomorrow afternoon". I wonder if that means 2009 info will finally be available on the M-B Canada website?

So... we'll see I guess.

I know the radio is probably of the same mid-grade quality - but I must say I LOVE the look of the new screen with the old-school tuner.

Looks like the price for the base model is the same while the Turbo seems to have gone up compared to the 2008 - still not as much as I paid my my 2007...

There is a $1500 discount from MSRP on the B 200 and B 200 T, so effective MSRP is $28.4K for the 200.

So the Turbo goes up by $500 but gets 17 inch wheels (I like the 16s better, they're more pothole-friendly, if you can say that ).

The main thing I noticed is that the "Entertainment Package" for 2009 is reduced by a substantial $600, to $1200. For that price, had it been offered on the 2008s, we _may_ just have sprung for this too last year when ordering our car. But even $1200 is stiff for better speakers, and satellite radio, which I would never use.

Personally I like the new 17" twin-stroke on the 09 turbo than the current 16". There is no 09 B to be seen at the dealer today. Sale says it won't be arriving until mid August. However, there is a C63 in the parking lot that belongs to one of the manager at another dealer. It looks mean.
