Need to carry a big load

Hi All,

I need to move a pile of things some of which are large. I realize the rear seat flipps forward etc. However, the bar which supports the top of the rear seats appears to remain fixed in position.... is this meant to come off somehow so that larger items can be loaded? I can't see anyway of 'unclipping' this support bar .... anyone know?

Are you talking about the bar into which the privacy cover (or whatever it's called)retracts? If yes, grip firmly and slide to the left and lift out; it's held in place by spring tension. If not, then I probably look like a fool. Not foreign territory for me, sadly!

Like Neville says it comes off like a toilet paper holder. The dealer showed us how to flip the seats in 2 seconds and made it look easy. I'm sure I would have to reread the manual to do it my self again.

The experts for loading are Derek and Keith, both seem to have a little gypsy in them and should be able to give more tips.

Neville Honest help is never foolish, not asking for help is however.

Bill

With guenter's avatar who wouldn't want to help. He brings out the Boy Scout in all of us.

Many thanks Neville, yes - I guess the privacy cover does retract into it. Absolutely had not thought that it would remove like that, although I certainly suspected that it could be removed somehow. I did stare and prod it for quite some time without realizing that.

Bill, re the Avatar.... sadly I better remove it soon since the wife is 'really' getting ticked off with it .... which in itself was worth something
