I just found out that Derek has suffered a Heart attack but is recovering in hospital. I received an e-mail this morning from his wife Joanne in which she says he is doing well and going for tests.

I know we all look forward to his posts and wish him well. I am sure he will be posting soon.

I am very sorry to hear of your situation and can only wish you a full and speedy recovery. I hope you have access to a good cardiac unit in your area and that you have an excellent cardiologist.
As one who has had an aortic valve and several pacemakers and now recently a defibrillator implant I understand your concerns.
A good attitude and the strong will to recover will be great assets.
Please keep us informed of your progress.

Get that ticker better and keep the attitude positive. One of the BEST cardiologists in Montreal is Dr. Rabinovitch out of the Montreal General.
