That makes a lot of sense.

I think Three Point Motors in Victoria is not bad, you could call service toll free and ask them for a quote: 1-888-215-1175. I hope that number works nation-wide, but you may have to call 250-385-6737.

Thanks Mike for the info.

I called the dealer, who said they have never performed a C service on a B-class, and therefore they cannot quote me a price!!!

I often call dealerships in Canada for service questions since I am in the US and this car is not in the US computer system. The owners manual is your best resource (they all say that) but what I have been told (Three Points included) is that the C service is based on the codes that show up in the FSS so it can run between $200-400. You can scroll through it and see the codes for your self. Be careful not to reset it like I did on mine. The factory recommends that brake fluid be replaced at two years based on when the car was built not km/mileage driven and engine oil should be replaced at least every year even if you don’t put on many km/miles.

Some information I have gotten has been way off base (it’s obvious that they have not read the owners manual) so I ask to talk to the service manager for best results.

My dealership here in the US calls the ‘C’ service the same as an ‘A’ (minor). FSS codes determine any additional work that might be needed.
