This is for those of you with the Turbo model who was wondering what the little B can do. Well here it goes remember I am not a professional driver so results may vary.
My Mercedes Benz B200 Turbo weighs 3450 pounds with driver I have completed the 1/4 mile in 15.812 seconds that means I have about 172.48 HP at the wheels and about 224.23HP at the flywheel. The 224.23HP I doubt but I can believe the 172.48HP at the wheels. HP calculator.
My Time-slip has the following:
Reaction time .449
60ft 2.437
330ft 6.701
1/8 mile 10.204@70.66MPH
1000ft 13.235
1/4mile 15.812@86.00MPH
The track I was on is at sea level. Cool day at 8C

Very surprised at the horse power at the wheels, not sure what calculation you used to determine the engine Hp but it does seem high. I went to the following site and it gives a simple way to calculate Buddy's Simple Horsepower Calculator...
Have you done anything to the car to improve performance??? You must have impressed some people at the track as the B does not look like it would have that kind of performance. If you had a auto did you shift manually or full auto? Also do you think the traction control helped?
I'm going to use your times as bragging rights for my car even tho I'm a little to old to try myself
Before someone else asks you did it effect your gas mileage
BillF thanks for the link with Buddy's Simple Horsepower calculator numbers are more accurate. My Mercedes Benz B200 Turbo weighs 3450 pounds with driver I have completed the 1/4 mile in 15.812 seconds that means I have about 172.48HP at the wheels and about 193.4HP at the engine. I raced at Mission raceway, the MOPAC street legals. Start was good they prep the track so it was very sticky no wheel spin. I have a CVT and I used the manual mod, I ran it upto 3rd gear when I crossed the 1/4 mile marker. It was fun but just a one time deal for me you know premium gas pushing a $1.40.
For those of you that know the program top gear in the UK, they did a episode on fast people carrier ... the B won the race ! But was disqualified because it can carry only 5 persons.
I think Keith posted another video of 3 Turbo minivans in the UK. The B200 Turbo just won the race on simple lap times. The B looked very stable on the curvy track.
Why are MPVs mistaken for people carriers in the motoring media I will never know.
Top Gear are the worst offenders in this. Mind you they are a pretty useless bunch anyway, however the program is sometimes entertaining, just don't pay too much attention to what they say.
Top Gear might have not disqualified the B if Keith was allowed to fit more people in. I'm sure Keith could easily fit 8 people inside. Check Keith photos on how to pack a car.
Watched the video and it is entertaining and the show seems very spirited in a tongue in cheek way. British humour is still the tops in the world, just look at all the cars they sold in North America before we got the joke.
That seems to be a very good time, considering the power and weight.
Still, I am more into pure speed, as in top speeds. I managed 222 km/h on the Autobahn A61 last week, driving a 2000 Peugeot 406 Automatic with 136 HP. Boo yeah!
