More details on the Canadian 2009 changes...

Just received this in an email from my dealer, regarding the Canadian 2009 changes. Some of it we've seen before, but I don't think all of this was detailed on the original M-B press release...

1. Minor interior and exterior face-lifts:
- Upgraded front and rear bumpers and grille
- Shorter Antenna... Car wash friendly!
- New 17" 5-twin-spoke wheel design
- Rear windshield more curved at the sides
- New seat cushion design
- Redesigned tailgate handle
- New two piece taillight design
- All aluminum trim done in smoke grey

2. CD Changer/MP3 and Bluetooth is now standard with redesigned color
display
3. Optional media interface MP3/ipod
4. New colors: Lotus Blue and Steppe Brown Metallic

All cosmetic really, engine, handling, performance all remaining the same.

Thanks for this info, brad_r. Is the 17" wheels standard for even the non-turbo? or is this only for the B200 Turbo? Also for the CD changer, is that standard across the board, including the non-turbo models? I like the fact that MB is coming out with the shorter antennas.

Cheers,

Martman

Wish I knew!! I was wondering about the wheels myself. I'll probably reply to the dealer with those specific questions to see if he can dish a bit more... I'll update this thread if I get more from him (I doubt he knows).
Cheers,
Brad

Brad, Grateful if you would ask your dealer if the 09 will offer the parking program as an option. Also, if not in 09, when will MB diesel engines be coming to Canada?
Will the 09 have start / stop function to save fuel?
Finally, other manufacturers have lowered prices in recognition of the higher exchange rate for the Can $. Will MB lower the price of the B, for 09?

The five-stroke rim on the booklet looks nice. The overall look looks sportier.

Is Grand Edition a trim? The front is of the 09 face-lifted model.
