Don't you wish you could get it, in a 4matic. 451hp, would make the B really fast!! Just an idea, but speaking of 451 hp, I was at the dealer yesterday and saw that the new C63 sedan starts at only $63,500. A friend of mine spent that much on a BMW 335i! I think that's a very competitive price for that caliber of car.
Different strokes for different folks. For me, I might choose the new M3 sedan over C63 for looks. Is it fair to compare C-class with 3-series? Are they in the same class?
Anthony, Where could we really drive a B63 AMG. You'd end up killing yourself and maybe take out some innocents at the same time.
I've driven crazy horsepower and it's a scary ride. Only doable in a straight line and still scary.
I don't think there's much of a market for that kind of car, wouldn't be worth it for MB. You could always go to a tuner, Anthony, although tuning the B probably won't hit the mainstream until the car is sold in the states.
The AMG Performance Tour was in town this weekend and I took a C63 for a very short test drive. Beautiful engine. Loved that sound. Stopped on a dime (and for all of you with brake issues I noticed a little bit of rust on the back brakes) Handled great. Much more fun than any race car I’ve driven or been in…(can’t beat a car with comfy seats and A/C especially when it’s 100° F out)
Can’t see taking a B to this extreme but I have to admit this (C63 not a hyper B) would be a fun car to have just because of the craftsmanship if nothing else.

Reason: Clarification and spelling correction
I agree with Derek; even in Germany a B 63 AMG would be pointless, it would hit the limiter at 250 in maybe 25 seconds and.....well, that's it.....at 30 L/100 km.
In North America, all it would mean is more teenage kids with rich parents would be killing themselves - and others - on the roads.
I am totally content with the power in the B. I was just saying that the C63 was a thrill to drive. (and that I didn't think an AMG B would work) As far as the R…a tug boat with wheels? No thanks. What were they thinking?!?!?!? An AMG R-Class...now that's just wrong, wrong, wrong.......
Well... If I could afford it (which I can't) I would consider the R-Class. It's like an S-Estate mercedes. I could fit my twins in and the twin babycart/stroller/thing and still have some room for my own stuff...
