Sorry… it’s just that I’ve been in an R several times and that thing is just so massively out of proportion and sits way too low for me, I feel like I’m hiding from someone when I’m in it. But, that’s why Mercedes makes so many different models, except for us over here. And now that you have twins they must come first so I guess you have to get rid of your stuff
I have to say that the picture you posted makes the R look pretty good (not that that is any reason to buy a car… I cringed when I first saw the B in person) but in real life…Hmm how about the C estate car. The picture on the MB Netherlands website looks nice but is it?
The R 320 CDI is actually a decent car now that it has a proper rear bench seat, although it's massive (North America only gets the LWB version). If I had four kids, I'd probably buy one.
My husband and I drove some more AMG’s (and a few other MB’s) this weekend at the Mercedes Benz Driving Academy that was held British Columbia Driving Centre in Pitt Meadows, BC. It was a fun way to polish up on driving and emergency techniques and remember what Mercedes is all about and I’m not just talking about speed.
It was also the first time in 9 ½ years that I drove a manual transmission…I just had to it was a turbo B!
Sounds fun, who’s sponsoring this? I’d like to do something like that down here. The Bob Bondurant School allows people to use their own cars for certain classes. Now that I know how well this car handles when pushed it could be a possibility…
BTW – I think pictures of the classes should be showing up some time soon on the Mercedes-Benz Canada site under “Extras”
