Not OEM GPS/Bluetooth setup

I have a Garmin 360 with Bluetooth. This sells for $269 at Costco.ca: Offering thousands of items you won’t find in your local Costco. and is the Dell deal od the day at $260.

The bluetooth paired up with my phone easily but there was a lot of feedback. Futureshop sells the Garmin external microphone for $18 so I got one and mounted it on the A pillar (circled in red). Works flawlessy now

For those in Canada, we should start a deal thread. I think you mean $289 for the 360? Do you know how much is Dell's shipping? They charge PST and GST right? I missed the deal around Christmas when they had the 250 for $150.

Nice setup. That isn't the Garmin mount, isn't it? Is the microphone wireless?

Yes, you're right, $289 from costco. The dell one is $259 and it's today only Days of Dell Deals shipping is free from Dell.

The microphone is wired. I ran it under the dash and tucked it under the rubber liner of the door opening.

The mount comes with the 360. It's suction mounted on to the face of the stereo. I enclosed the power cable and mike cable with some black cable wrap for a cleaner look.

Brick317, do you think mounting on the stereo display will scratch the screen over time? I won't leave it mounted unless actually needed so there'll be a lot of removing and remounting. It is a closer position to reach than to mount it on the windshield.

We have to have ours easily removeable otherwise they get pinched, we even need to rub out the ring where the suction cap has been otherwise the b******s smash your window to see if you have left it in the glovebox. It's the way of the world I'm afraid.

Bill Sunny in 'real' Surrey all week

Time to move to Canada, nobody would ever steal from a car here, or do any damage, even if they desperately needed drugs.

Slight shower as I started to type, it is now a downpour, I'll concede the title of Sunny Surrey this week.
