The CVT is a $1500 option here in Canada. I wonder why it's so much more expensive in Europe ($1500 CDN = 930 Euros)??

Taxes my friend.

The autobox (on the B180 CDI) has a gross price of 3026 US$. We add 311US$ Salestax. And to top it off we have a special cartax (BPM) of 1670 US$.
After all that the autobox adds up to 4710 US$.

So I was actually wrong. The autobox is 4700US$ more expensive.

The prices for a B200 is 47845US$ in the Netherlands and the B200 Auto is 51966 US$.

Oh, and a litre of petrol(Euro95) is 1,558 Euro's or 2.37US$. And we have to pay additional taxes each month to use the roads (roadtax).

And they wonder why we migrate to Canada....

Actually Keith, some of us do like the snow. We just don't want it to look like this in June.
This was taken just out back a couple of weeks back. Deep white sand without bugs!( for now)

Keith!! When the spring sun hits a protected valley and you happen to be right there it's like summer and very warm. Spring skiing is a very special experience.

T-shirt and shorts is the norm and you will burn in a few minutes if you're not protected.
