Now that's what I call keen. Did you soundproof your Bonnet(Hood) Dennis, I know it was being discussed in a previous thread, and if so was it a successful modification ??

Yes, the bonnet is also soundproofed. But it's just noticable. The vibration transmited via the hood is reduced. But the tractor like diesel noise on the outside (and inside) remains the same. But it's a fun job, takes little time, and it reduces the flimsy sound when the hood is closed.

It's a pity we can't get rid of the diesel clatter on idling some modern diesels beat the B in this respect

Ah but then I would use up much more fuel & make so much extra CO2 pollution.

Think I will stick with the diesel
