Hi Guys !

I took the good advice of everyone here and went to Canadian Tire this week-end. I bought the Meguiar car wash & microfiber mitt and Meguiar's cleaner wax.

I did not go with the 3 step wax system ... it must be better. Any tough on this ?

Warm regards from a warm Montreal !! (finally)

Daniel

Remember Daniel,
It's Montreal, not the auto show. A regular coat of wax will protect the B just fine and.... get the bird droppings off fast.

Oh!! I didn't want to say anything but...... I just finished up with one of my old Turtle wax (Excaliber) paste waxes. (I keep things far too long )
Mothers or Maguiars... they're all very good and I'm sure there are others that protect really well. Right now I'm using Mothers Gold. Cheers, Derek

ps:I'm sure you'd get a lot of responses if you posted your detailing questions in the" Detailing and car care" Forum above us.

Is it possible to get the Meguiar's 3 step wax system as a package? I think it might be cheaper to buy the whole package together rather than the 3 individually. The 3 step system is sold separately at CT. There is no mention of the use of claybar. Is it necessary?

If you feel your paint has deep dirt and oxidation, then the claybar will definitely help.

If you read through the detailing forum, you can pick up a ton of info.

Bon Ami, have I got a tip for you.
I use Bon Ami cleaning powder on the windows when they are smeared or oil / gas stained.
Bon Ami has been used on the space shuttle windows and by windshield wiper manufacturers to test their wipers.
It is a natural, non toxic, inexpensive product that does not scratch. If you want transparent windows, try Bon Ami cleaning powder Bon Ami

For those interested Canadians, Canadian Tire has Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash for half price at $7.49 for a week starting tomorrow.
