Tires on a B200 (non Turbo)

Hey all,

I just recently signed up to this forum, since we're on the verge of sealing the deal on a B200 in Vancouver (Richmond). I just wanted to know what tires are installed on the B? I've seen most Bs with Continental (not sure which model though) But, I think I've seen some with Michelins?

We hope to order and take delivery of our Black B200 in the next week or two.

Incidentally, since we have been car shopping, we have found that dealing with Mercedes Benz dealers are so much more pleasant than dealing with Honda and Toyota sales guys. Our sales rep at the MB dealership in Richmond seems to also be more flexible in accommodating our requests compared to the Asian brands. And to think that I used to feel intimidated walking into a MB dealership. Honda and Toyota dealers just seem to be so sleazy compared to the professional approach we have experienced at the MB dealership.

Looking forward to our Black B200. . . .soon.

Michelin are on my B. Are you buying from MB in the Richmond Auto Mall?

Welcome aboard martman!!
Our B 200 came with Michelin Energy MXV4 S8. So far, no complaints with them.
Glad to see that your first experiences with the dealer went well.
Cheers, Derek

ps: Check out some of the other posts and get our feelings on the B.

My B200 Turbo came with the Conti Pro Contact tires - which are rated number 6 here: Customer Tire Survey)
Click on 'Grand Touring All Season' for the survey results.
It seems both the Michelin and the Continental are good tires.
Welcome to the forum and happy motoring in your new B.

Yes I am. We should be finalizing our deal either this weekend, or early next week.

Cheers,

Uk non turbo come with Continental Premier Contact 205 x 55 x 16

My previous B200 sport Continental Premier Contact 215 x 45 x 17

Which I changed to Bridgestone Potenza of the same size (on front) these IMHO handled & gripped better than the Continental's

When I bought my (ahem) VW, I specified that there were not to be any 'domestic' (Good Year) tires on it. You can do that too.

My B 200 came with Continentals too, to my chagrin. Michelin has been my tire of choice since 1978 when I bought my first car.
