We got the same deal here in Portugal, VW Golf "Van" is about 5000€ cheaper than the 5 seat version. Several makes have the "Van" option in order to lower the taxes. Mercedes doesn't have a B Class Van here though. The difference isn't alot between the van and car. I have read in news articles that Denmark has the most expensive cars in europe, but 72000€ is crazy
How many Canadians would pay $108,000 for a B 200 CDI?
Speak up!
<sound of crickets chirping>
But it is all relative as all the other makes of car are dearer due to the tax situation & probably cost of living & wages are higher. If the starting price for cars in Canada were say $80,00 I am sure people would pay $108,00 for a B.
There is talk of one of the Renault versions being sold in central Europe for about £3,000 but you or I would never get it for that price in our countries.
Having been at the Copenhagen airport in 2005, I can say it's freakin' expensive there, but do Danish people really make $200,000 CDN per year on average???
