Yes, it's a great solution. I've heard pricing around 400 Euro's.
There's a downside, the unit cannot be used in another car, only in the Benz.

To my knowledge, that option is not offered in Canada.
What is the cost $$$ in NL?

While the MB solution is nice to have, it is in typical Mercedes fashion, also $ 500 more than I paid for the same GPS performance.
If I can ever figure out how to post a photo here from my MacBook iphoto program, I can share my simple arrangement.

"Yes, Martha, we really do need a cell phone. "

Locked out of your car? Use an old cell phone for emergencies? ... see this:

YouTube - How to access features on your cell phone that you do not kn

BTW. I keep an old cell phone in the car - just in case.

So I am planning to buy the Garmin 760 next week. Anyone has it care to comment on it? The reason I am getting this one is because it is on sale. This was Garmin's highend model. The new ones coming out are 880, 205 and 255 with microSD instead of SD.

Which aftermarket mount is good? I don't like the windowshield suction cup as I find it too far away.

If the car is locked how does the cell phone in the car help you. But I think I will try it.

Bill,

Rather than keep an old cell phone in a junk drawer at home, we keep the old unregistered cell phone in the car, only for 911 calls, because 911 will respond to any 911 call - from any phone.

I do not carry a cell phone, but, my wife always has a cell phone in her purse.
So, if she ever locks herself out, she can call home and I can then use my key fob to open the car for her by sending the unlock signal through her cell phone. You must hold the phone about 6 inches from the door lock.

If I am the driver, I will have to rely on my vigilance and never lock myself out.
