Hi there, i don't know if the expression on the Title is right... but here is the problem with photos just for the history...
At the same time with my steeering problems i noticed that the rear left disc plate was mis-worn-out as you can see on the photos. As it seems the brake pads were not right-aligned so they stepped on the half surface of the disc. The result is the rust and feeling with the fingers you can find almost 1mm step from the one side to the other!!!!
And guess what... they told me they cannot cover under guarantee!!! And i WONDER... how is it possible for a driver to make this happen on ONE of the 4 disc brakes ONLY??????????????????????????
Finally, i have to tell you that my problem solved (not officialy) but i am worried also for the new plates as the new one seems to start to make the same problem but in less degree...
Has anyone any kind or similar image like this? (on his/her brakes?)
If you get them to change it get a receipt & ask for the disk back and get it checked by an independant brake specialist. If they say there is a problem with it cause a stink with customer services stating, being brakes,it's a safety issue.
I would say something is not right there.
I've also had a fair amount of rust collecting on the rears when the B has been parked for a week or two. I feel the quality is lacking in the rears. I would apply the brakes very firmly over and over to clear the rear rust but with hardly any effect. The rears hardly apply at all, in my opinion.
The dealer stated that there was no adjustment to send more braking to the rear.
My solution was to find a long steep hill on asphalt, back down the hill and repeatedly press firmly on the brakes, almost to the point of lockup. Back and forth, up and down until it slowly cleared. Backing down naturally loads the rear more and it worked!
I hope this might help others before the rust is beyond the point of removal.
Cheers, Derek
ps: I would have liked to have seen a close-up of the wear pattern on your pads also. Would new pads have cleaned up those discs? I don't know.

So are you saying you have had the disks changed (or was it just the one ) and did they change the pads as well ? & if so is it happening on the new one ??
I think Derek hit on the solution. I had this problem with my Peugeot 405's rear discs, because I drive "efficiently" and don't use the brakes much. The backwards braking is something I'll have to try too....
Any one know how the handbrake workson the B.
Does it move the disks or does it have small internal shoes inside the hub like the Vauxhall ??
I should have looked when I had my wheels off recently
I know George could tell us but really it's not fair for some of us ( and I do mean myself) to keep relying on him.
I have the same service manual as George(I think) but it's a tricky installation on the computer. You have to turn the computer into a server and you know me and computers!!
Keith it would be a breeze for you to install it on yours.

Thanks to all of you. I tried Derek's solution before some days by driving very aggressive backwards and trying handbrake and normal brakes too... I noticed that its impossible to activate ABS for rear wheels even if i brake with all my force! Also with handbrake i had no results and i realized after that, that our car has smaller brakes inside for the handbrake(!)...
To keith: yes i have replaced both discs and both sides pads, but as i said from the same side seems to start the same (in smaller area) with only 200km after the replacement... I said not "officially" because i didn't have replaced them under guarantee as the centrals didn't cover them. I know a person from "inside" who helped for this... so....its un-official.
I wonder how rear brakes work... is there any possibility to "feel" the ABS for rear wheels? Anyway Derek's solution seems the best, except if my whole left rear side braking system is deformed/defective...
