My B 200 is built!

I got the word this afternoon that our B 200 is built and has a VIN. So now the countdown begins. It's slightly over 301,000 in the series....

Maybe I'll get it before the end of October after all!

Horizon Blue
Alpaca grey cloth
5 speed manual
usual CDN "extras" (cruise, chrome pkg, int. light pkg, etc)
Panorama louvered roof
Alarm with motion sensor
Heated seats

BOO YEAH!

Sounds good.
I suppose it is the delivery by boat that causes the long delivery time presumably they all come from the same plant (in Germany)

.. and don't forget to post pics of it..

When you say "It's slightly over 301,000 in the series.", what do you mean? I am guessing that is the number of B have been sold around the world?

Thanks, guys!

So with the car existing now - built at Rastatt like all B-classes - it may get onto a ship at Bremerhaven on the 20th. If it does, that ship would arrive in Halifax NS at the beginning of October....from there it goes across the continent by train, about a 10 day journey.

The serial number on my car is 301566 (the last 6 digits of the VIN), and the first B-Class had a serial number of 000001. So your serial number tells you what "number in the series" that your car is! My smart for example, was the 175000th second generation car (second generation beginning in 2003, mine was built at the end of 2004).

Mercedes-Benz announced in the early summer that the 250,000th B had been built, well now it's some ways over 301,566!

I am looking forward to the car with baited breath, and finding some undocumented features like Dyno mode etc.....

This is only my second new car in 30 years of driving. The smart was my first.

Hope you enjoy it!
Cheers!

HI All,

I am new to this forum.....I looked around for all type of SUVs and mini van , I just place an order for a B200 Turbo with premium package , the sales rep I got wasn't that great but I would rate him being ok. I signed the lease ( offer to lease) last Sat and he still hasn't called me back when the car is arriving , all he said at that point was that it is in the 'R' stage with VIN # , meaning that it has arrived Halifax and should be on the train coming soon.....I could have called but I figure being a customer, he should call me before I do....

Anyways, enjoy reading all the posts on here and lots of great information here ..thanks .!! ..
