We've had the car on the road for 900 km now, and I love it. It is great in nearly every way.
The manual gearbox is amazingly smooth-shifting. The torque is huge, for pulling the car up hills in top gear that would require my smart (admittedly with 40 HP) to shift down to 5th. I would imagine the Turbo is far more of the same. For me, the basic 2 L engine is perfect!
The sunroof is fabulous as are the heated seats.
The steering is light but has decent feel once at speed. It's like steering a Cadillac at low speed, almost too easy.
I will write more when I have more time......still recovering from the long drive and sleep deprivation last weekend.
Next weekend sounds good to me. Is it Remembance Day long weekend next Monday or Saturday? Saturday meet is best for me though.. I wish there are more Vancouver B owners here so we can have a bigger meet.
Monday is the stat. Saturday I have a family event to go to from noon to 5 PM, but I could be into a coffee etc after that. Send me a PM for contact info....
The lifetime fuiel consumption is 7.3 L/100 km since the car was built, according to the BordComputer. That's 39 Imperial MPG. I am pleased with that, even if it's 5% optimistic (as my first fill indicated that it might be).
Mike, a while ago I estimated a realistic average would be 6.7 to 7.1 L/100km. I still feel that way, even though we babied it to 5.8 on a test. Time will tell.

oh...mine have been averaging some 10.5x L/100 km with mix of highway and local according to the boardcomputer....7.3 is really really good..

I am driving it quite gently, with the occasional burst to 4500 rpm when the engine is warm. The car has 1200 km on it now. But I will continue to drive it this way, so I hope to get the overall L/100 to where Derek says it can be, wihich would be fantastic, and better than I would have expected.
